AMS Photo Effects is probably the simplest way of applying a wide variety of filters, effects, frames, and other enhancing features to your digital photographs. Its one-click functionality allows you to add stunning illumination, distortion, and other artistic effects to your shots in a simple and rewarding way. You can combine various filters in the same shot to create your own effects.
This is about as creative as you can get with AMS Photo Effects. The wide array of one-click filters, background images, motion effects, etc., that the program provides are all applied “as is”, which means that no further intervention on your side is allowed. You can combine and mix as many effects as you wish, but you cannot make a certain filter to look brighter or darker, for instance. You can also apply filters partially, though – you can select the area where you want the effect to be applied, and leave the rest of the photograph untouched. And that’s mainly it.
All the effects are clearly structured into various categories for easy location – color, lighting, traditional, artistic, and distortion filters. Decorative elements are also divided into various categories of frames and masks, while the “compositions” include a long list of background images and glowing effects that will give a different angle on your photographs.
This is essentially a “trial and error” kind of tool. Just try on your images as many effects, frames, filters, and other enhancing features as you wish, and keep those effects (or combinations of effects) that better suit your shots. You may be surprised at some of the results.
